LCL is the first data center in Belgium to have obtained the ISO 14001 certification for environmental management, which proves that our environmental management system complies with international environmental legislation. We achieved this by monitoring our power consumption, using cold corridors for efficient cooling, using 100% green energy, and deploying the eco-friendly fire suppression gas NOVEC 1230. But that's not all: we continue to strive to further reduce our ecological footprint.

From conserving paper to purchasing environmentally friendly vehicles, energy savings are at the heart of everything we do at LCL. All our installations are regularly maintained and checked to ensure efficient and economical operation. We regularly measure the power consumption and running times of our pumps and compressors. Where possible, we fine-tune devices to consume less energy.

When making new investments, we always look for the most environmentally friendly and energy-efficient solution. A good example is our fire suppression gasses, cold corridors (to keep cold air separated from heat, to reduce the need for cooling), or our phased transition to the renewable fuel HVO100. Furthermore, LCL runs on 100% green energy - a decision in addition to the ISO certification.
