Our data centers comply with the international standard for professional health and safety. This is verified by the ISO 45001 certificate, an international standard that specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. It provides organisations with a framework to manage risks and improve OH&S. The requirements for OH&S are not limited to physical health, but also include psychosocial well-being and ergonomics. (elements that the CODEX legislation focuses more on)
This ISO certificate includes criteria for a policy, objectives, implementation, operation, auditing, and review for key elements such as: leadership commitment, worker participation, hazard identification and risk assessment, legal and regulatory compliance, emergency planning, incident investigation and continual improvement.
We are the first data center in Belgium to receive the ISO 45001 certificate. This means that we take safety in the workplace very seriously and want to create greater awareness of the safety/security risks in data centers to avoid incidents or health problems. This not only applies to our own employees, but also to third parties like clients and vendors, or anyone else who visits our data centers. If an incident should occur, we report them and make improvements. We perform risk assessments and evaluations and take measures accordingly before performing potentially risky tasks.
The ISO 45001 certificate was awarded by BSI.
