The cloud infrastructure options that Inetum-Realdolmen offers its customers are diverse:
The customer chooses Customers who use a data center often work with two data centers to ensure business continuity. Inetum-Realdolmen manages the infrastructure for the customer. "With our RCloud, we distinguish ourselves from public cloud suppliers," said Inetum-Realdolmen.
In the past, Inetum-Realdolmen had its own on-premises data center for its customers’ infrastructure. "We realised that operating our own data center would not be efficient in the long run, says Bert Verboven, Senior Service Delivery Manager. "That's why we decided to move to external data centers. We are good at apps and servers; LCL is good at data centers." Inetum-Realdolmen is currently using its own space at LCL.
"We want to expand our cloud offering as much as possible in the future. We have opted for LCL Data Centers as a partner because the company employs the latest technologies and innovations and has the necessary know-how in-house. We work together to ensure that the end customer is satisfied. Certifications are also important in this respect. Customers are increasingly asking for this in the context of their corporate governance", says Inetum-Realdolmen.
Inetum-Realdolmen is impressed by the growth experienced by LCL Data Centers in recent years. "When we chose LCL as a partner in 2016, there were some important elements that convinced us. Carrier neutral and independence were key elements in this regard. LCL has always had a good reputation within the data center world, but we are pleasantly surprised by the further positive development of this data center company", says Luc Horré, RCloud & Innovation Manager at Inetum-Realdolmen.
Just before COVID-19, Inetum-Realdolmen had increased its Internet connectivity within LCL tenfold and expanded its infrastructure. This enabled the company to respond quickly to customer demand for capacity increases during the pandemic. There were even customers who asked for a five-fold increase in their Internet connection. Furthermore, the availability of more than 40 carriers is very important to Inetum-Realdolmen. There are carriers that Inetum-Realdolmen uses itself. In addition, its customers can also choose their own carriers.
